Haapsalu SPA culture has long traditions, stretching back centuries! Today, there are two functioning larger SPAs in Haapsalu and a selection of smaller places where you can enjoy water and sauna pleasures.
Accommodation in a mirror house with a visit to the SPA
At Tiny Marienholm, we offer a comfortable SPA package during the winter season. This includes accommodation in our beautiful mini villas and a visit to two Hestia Spa and sauna centers less than a kilometer away. When you book an overnight stay with a SPA package, we will send you a password by email, with which you can access the water center once at a time convenient for you. The day of visit can be either the day of arrival or the day of departure. Hestia’s friendly SPA team can wait for you. The spa center offers a relaxation area, a large jacuzzi, a swimming pool, a sanatorium, several different saunas and a SPA cafe.
Tiny Marienholm saunas
Tiny Marienholm’s Lux category houses are also equipped with a comfortable large sauna and washing areas. The most special thing is that the entire sauna house is reserved for you for the entire duration of your stay and is located right next to your house. In the house you will find comfortable bathrobes that you can use to go directly to the sauna. Therefore, if you enjoy sauna pleasures the most, you will find everything you need right here. Saunas can also be used as sanatoriums. By turning the heating to only half, the sauna reaches a pleasant 50 degree heat, where you can enjoy a long time with your partner, talk and enjoy the sea view that opens right in front of you!
Prominent spa town history in Haapsalu
Haapsalu is Estonia’s oldest and, for many, the most beautiful resort town in all of Estonia. Thanks to the shallow, rapidly warming sea water and healing medicinal mud, the city has attracted international celebrities to rest here since the 19th century.
Medicinal mud was first used as a healing agent by Haapsalu physician Dr. Karl Abraham von Hunnius, who is also considered the founder of Estonian spa technology. In 1825, he also founded a mud farm in Haapsalu.
The resort life in Haapsalu is once again on the rise
Thanks to its good location, idyllic atmosphere, shady summer events and a calm pace of life, Haapsalu has become one of the favorite destinations of Estonians, where they gladly stop at least once in the summer. In the coming years, a couple of new SPA hotels are coming up in the city, hopefully one of them right at the beginning of the Marienholm peninsula!
